Though the bill did not get the two-thirds vote necessary to pass, it is still disturbing that this deceptive, scientifically unsound bill received ANY votes. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Latest Attack on Abortion Rights Based on Scare Tactics and Questionable Science The House of Representatives voted last Wednesday on a cynical, opportunistic bill based on scare tactics and questionable science. This is nothing new for the 109th Congress -- an alliance of legislators we can't say goodbye to soon enough. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Voters Show Strong Support for Reproductive Rights and Minimum Wage Voters considered many crucial ballot measures on Tuesday, covering a range of political issues, including abortion access, parental notification for abortion, same-sex marriage, affirmative action and minimum wage.
